Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Michigan 2024

The SOMI Polar Plunges around the state combine for the single largest fundraiser for SOMI with a goal of more than $1 million. These funds make it possible for the athletes to participate in SOMI Games – Summer, Winter and Fall – at no cost to the athlete. The entire cost is subsidized by the generous fundraisers and donors of the 25 Polar Plunges across the state. We have brave and fearless plungers at 5 different locations and Frozen 5K walkers/runners at 3 locations.

Below you will find the dates, locations and team links for the various sites. Please consider joining us as a Plunger or 5Ker raising donations from colleagues, friends, family and perfect strangers. If not a cold water adventurer or a winter runner/walker, consider giving generously (and often) to a member or two of one or more of the teams below. Every donation counts towards providing the athletes with free access to the Summer, Winter and Fall Games.
