HouseHop Transforms Ann Arbor Home Into a "Beautiful Showpiece"

When our Family of Companies launched our iBuyer program, HouseHop, it was a priority to shift away from the traditional iBuyer model. We evolved the model into one that made HouseHop a partner to our agents’ businesses. It’s been a rewarding experience to help our agents “rescue” deals by uniting their talents with our services.

“My client, who was faced with emptying, cleaning and selling her father’s long time property, with many, many personal collections, while holding a full time job and living two hours away, was very grateful for Evan and the House Hop program,” shared Kim Peoples of the Charles Reinhart Company.

Kim’s client sold the house to HouseHop on June 25, 2021 for $320k. Evan Elsea, founder of HouseHop, and the team quickly got to work. The Ann Arbor colonial was cleaned out with several dumpsters and received a full remodel. The HouseHop team updated the interior, converted a half bath off the kitchen into a full bath, and took care of everything that needed to be replaced like a new A/C unit, electrical panel, door wall and garage door. A gorgeous new kitchen was put in and the basement was cleaned up so the new buyers could make it their own.

Peoples said, “We watched [the home] be transformed into a beautiful showpiece.  After a complete renovation, the house went on the market a few months later, had multiple offers and sold for $50,000 over list price.” The home was listed on December 16, 2021 for $429k and sold for $480k cash from another Reinhart agent! The deal officially closed on January 10, 2022.

“The daughter of the previous owner was thrilled to see the outcome. Thanks to Evan and the crew at the House Hop Program!” ended Peoples.

This was an incredible example of how HouseHop is partnering with our agents to support “stuck” clients. If you have a similar situation on your hands, reach out to our team today!
